Freshwise Farms is open from 8:00am - 4:00pm, M-F.

You can learn about our guided tours by visiting this page or offer your time as a volunteer here. Additionally, Freshwise holds experiential educational programs for K-12 students and adults year-round.

Expectations for Visitors

Freshwise Farms is both an educational center and full-scale production farm. Our priority is to facilitate a safe, fun learning experience while honoring and respecting the many operations that support our programming. While visiting, we request that you stay mindful of the shared spaces and encourage those around you to do the same. Our expectations are below - we'll ask for yours when you get here!

A note for parents, teachers, and chaperones

As you know, local farming is quite the hot topic these days. In all likelihood, an interest in learning more about it landed you here, and we are honored to oblige that interest. There are many opinions regarding what to eat, what not to buy, and which books to read surrounding the topic. We respect and welcome open dialogue about these opinions (in fact, these are the very things we address head-on with the participating students), however we do ask that you respect each individual's personal exploration through the complex world of food and farming. When planning this time for your students, please allow their ideas to emerge. Afterwards, we provide some time to answer (to the best of our abilities) any personal questions you may have about this intensely debated field. We are not in the business of picking sides; rather we aim to ask those unanswerable questions and strive to present information from as many perspectives as we can access. We truly appreciate your cooperation in fostering a safe, open learning environment.
